The City of Georgetown utilizes an online bid listing database to efficiently manage opportunities to contract with the City. It also allows businesses to subscribe to an automated notification system that is delivered by email.

City Purchasing strives to publish all Invitations to Bid, Requests for Proposal and Requests for Qualifications online, thereby enhancing business opportunities to work with the City of Georgetown. The bids listed on the web site may not be inclusive of all available bids offered by the City of Georgetown.
Any individual performing work in the City of Georgetown shall have all proper licenses, including a City Business License.
The City of Georgetown is not exempt from state sales tax. The current tax rate 6%.
When the Purchasing Department is closed due to force majeure, bid openings will be postponed to the same time on the next official business day.
SURPLUS MATERIALS AND PROPERTY FOR SALE
The City of Georgetown sells surplus goods and materials on the GovDeals auction website.
